Windows 10 May 2022 Update: All the changes so far
Windows 10's next major feature update is currently in development. Now called the Windows 10 May 2022 Update, and codenamed '20H1', this upcoming release is currently in testing with Insiders, and is expected to ship sometime in the bound of 2022. This update focuses primarily on under the hood platform work to ameliorate Os stability and performance.
We've had several Insider Preview builds of 20H1 now, so information technology'southward time to start keeping track of all the notable new changes plant in these builds. We'll update this mail periodically with new notable changes once they are made available for testing.
Windows Shell
- File Explorer has a new search UI and is at present powered past a new "Windows Search" arrangement.
- The touch keyboard now features 39 additional languages powered by SwiftKey technologies.
- Input Method Editor (IME) has improvements for Japanese also as Simplified and Traditional Chinese.

- A new cloud download pick will let users recover and reinstall Windows without an ISO or concrete media on hand.
- The optional features area has been updated with a new UI that features multiselect, search, and more.
- Mouse cursor speed settings are now available within the modern Settings app.
- A new network status page is present with an updated UI and more than options.
- Cloud Download is now a recovery selection when factory resetting your device.
Apps
- Disk type is now visible within Task Manager.
- Settings has a new account header along the top on the homepage.
